The Pew Commission on Children in Foster Care
Issues Request for Input
Washington, D.C. – Launched in May 2003, the Pew Commission on Children in Foster Care is an independent, nonpartisan commission dedicated to improving outcomes for some of the nation's most vulnerable children. The Commission has approximately a year to develop effective, practical, bipartisan policy recommendations to:
The Commission is interested in considering a broad array of options related to these two areas and would welcome input from interested parties. Submissions should address federal financing and/or the courts, and should be compatible with the Adoption and Safe Families Act (AFSA) priorities of safety, permanence and well-being for all children.
