"Fostering the Future" Preview Video

In the late fall, the Pew Commission on Children in Foster Care will release an interactive DVD which details and discusses its court recommendations, issued in May of this year. Titled "Fostering the Future", the DVD features members of the Pew Commission, judges, lawyers, advocates, children, parents and others talking about the role of the courts in the foster care system, and what can be done to ensure that the children are moved swiftly and safely out of foster care and into safe permanent homes, or to help avoid placements in foster care when possible. The DVD features three stories of journeys through the foster care system, in addition to special sections directed at judges and court personnel, legislators and others.

A sixteen minute preview of the complete DVD is now available on the Commission's website for you to view. Also, you can pre-order a copy of the final DVD.

The Commission's complete report and recommendations, in addition to press coverage of these recommendations, and resolutions that numerous leading national and state child welfare and judicial organizations have issued in support of the Commission's recommendations, are all available on the Pew Commission website.
